Does God care whether we have a nice hotel?

Last year I went to the Grace and Faith [Family Conference, Telford]... some stuff happened and I never really enjoyed it and I got frustrated with myself. But this year I was determined I was going beginning to end and nothing was going to stop me.
So I got on the internet and thought, “That's it, we're going to have a hotel down there.” And I got on the internet and these hotels were like four hundred and something pounds. So I phoned E [my husband] up and said, “Right, we can stop one night in Telford in a really posh hotel and two nights in a crummy hotel in Stafford because of the price,” because I was trying to balance the price to around £200... and he said, “Just do what you need to do.” So I came off the phone and prayed.
I got back on the computer. Exactly the same hotel which was £120 per night – and I just know it was God, because this just doesn't happen normally – [when] I got back on the computer – they only had one night when I looked the first time – when I looked the second time, after I had prayed and spoke to E, I got three nights for £170! It's a four star hotel with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bed and breakfast. And I've phoned the lady up to double check it and say, “Are you sure this is right?” She said, “Yes it's right.” She [asked], “How many children have you got?” I said, “I've got two children.” She said, “Right, you won't fit in that room. But we'll upgrade you free of charge for a double double bedroom... praise God.” [Liza]

Salvation for Dad: recovery from stroke begins.
![Cross, Love, Potteries, GAFF, Stroke, Healing. Saved, Eugene, Anthony, John](/uploads/2/5/7/3/25736977/_9215701.jpg)
Wednesday, I went with AB and JD. These two guys are on fire for God. Absolutely. There is a gift that ministers through one of them (JD) that's healing. I don't believe it's us who has the gift but the Holy Spirit who works. And JD's working in that. And AB is equipped with the word. He has such a passion. And last Saturday, they went and saw AB's dad who's had a stroke. JD and AB started praying for him and he started to get some movement in his arm. And they were encouraged.
I didn't know nothing about it, but AB said to his dad last Saturday, “I've got a guy who I would like to come to see you. Will you let him come?” And it was me! And AB came and said, “Would you see my dad?” And I said, “I would love to.” It's [about] the love of God. You can work in miracles and signs (and all that) but it's about that love... I came in, looked at his dad and just started speaking the love of God to him. And put it into a reality for him. Well, he couldn't say no more about it. He just knew it was God speaking to him. So out of that – and I didn't put no fear into him an' all – I said, “You want that in your life, don't you?” Because AB spoke to him about it last week and left him with a 'sinner's prayer' and he didn't want to know anything about it. (It's like one step at a time).
But he received Christ Wednesday morning. And he received the Holy Spirit. And I stood behind him and put my hand on him and I said, “Did you feel that?” And he goes, “Yeah.” I said, “I know you did.” He actually got up and he took three or four steps on his own. He's got a stroke, bearing in mind. Know what I mean? And his right leg he can stretch right out now. Which he couldn't do before. And his arm he can stretch out now. And I just explained to him about physio – that there is miracles and healings – and it's a progression to keep going forward... awesome. [Eugene]

Football freedom: prayer for knees that hinder play.
![Football, Stoke, Signed](/uploads/2/5/7/3/25736977/___5708295.jpg)
"Last week we had a prayer line – the way that the British seem do things, to come down and be prayed for. [By the way] We are going to encourage every [believer] that we have the power in us – we can minister to each other. But until we are in that place, there is some benefit in coming forward and having someone else lay hands or pray with us.
A friend of mine came up and he has suffered with a bad knee for years. And this is a problem to him because he loves football. He loves playing football. His thought was, 'I want this knee well really so I can go and play football.' Nothing else. He could put up with the other pains other than that. I think this is important to the way in which he got his healing. Because I think God, or his faith, met him where he was.
He had prayer here [at Grace & Faith Fellowship]. His knee was the same. And he went away, thinking, 'You know what, I've gone forward and I've asked...' but it didn't put him off. He would keep seeking that healing but in this instance it seemed like, 'No, nothing.'
On Friday, the group of guys who he goes to play football with met together. He decided to go. He played that match of football. He felt no pain. His knee worked perfectly during the game , hallelujah.
Now afterwards, as we ate a meal together, he told me his knee was still hurting. But during the football – where he actually wanted to be free of pain – he was free of pain. Amen. He is not here to share this testimony personally, but this is something I thought we should hear about." [Carl]

Hysterectomy, appendicitis, being bullied, surgery for cancer, wound infection: can God help?
![Christmas, heart, love, light, hope](/uploads/2/5/7/3/25736977/___3021711.jpg)
"I want to give thanks to the Lord for my friend's healing. She has had a terrible year. Last year she had a hysterectomy. Then she had an appendicitis before Christmas. And at the same time, she is being bullied at work (terrible things going on at work). So, after she had had the appendicitis she came home for Christmas, then between Christmas and the New Year she went back to see the doctors for a sore throat. And they told her that when they had done the appendicitis, they had found a lump that was cancer.
Well, she was in terrible shock. She said, 'I've gone out with a sore throat and come out with the c...' So she was also laughing, bless her. She said, 'I've got to go in straight away for surgery.'
She had surgery and she thought they were going to take all her bowel away. So I just prayed that they would not have to take the bowel. For a young woman that's a terrible thing.
She had the operation two weeks ago. And she is a similar age to me, but in her second marriage with a little girl age 5 and children 23 and 24. I have had the little 5 year old girl for her, which is why I haven't seen [Carl and Mandy] for a couple of weeks. She came out of hospital and had a really nasty wound infection. She was quite poorly with that. During all this time, it has given me good opportunity to talk to her about the Lord and to pray with her. And she has accepted that prayer. Even though she is not a Christian, she has let me do that.
Anyway, last Monday, she went into hospital to have some antibiotics for this wound and while she was there, the consultant called her over and said, 'Just want to let you know you are cancer free. I only want to see you for your five-year checks. And there is no chemotherapy.'" [Jane]
"Praise the Lord. That is a good report!" [Carl]
